Broadleaf Trees

Broadleaf Trees

Broadleaf trees are also referred to as deciduous trees and they are the tree species that shed their leaves in the autumn and produce new leaves in the spring. Our most familiar trees are of this type and include various species of oak along with ash and beech. In the Sidmouth are all our 'native' trees are broadleaf, there are no naturally occuring conifers here.
